Bloons Tower Defense 5 features a lot more new additions in every aspect, from towers and side kicks to new balloon enemies and tracks it is welcome breath of fresh of air for tower defense fans.
What Bloons Tower Defense 5 manages to do far beyond any other tower defense game is introduce plenty of fresh content and humour into what is an over used concept in web gaming. Ninja Kiwi are one of the few td developers who actually release games that can be justified as real sequels as opposed to simply small expansions. If we look at other td games series such as Cursed Treasure and Gemcraft, although popular they do not vigorously add to each sequel like NinjaKiwi do.
So What's New in Number 5?
- Side Kicks: We have side kicks that can be deployed to help you pop the balloons known as 'Special Agents'. These include the Bloombery Bush, Beekeeper, Angry Squirrel and Super Monkey Storm. Each special agent as a unique ability or weapon to use in bursting balloons.
- New Towers Again! There are two new towers and four extra upgrades for each tower making that nine upgrades in total to have the ultimate strength in each tower
- New Balloon Enemies: Bloons come in more shapes and sizes than ever with large powerful enemies including huge floating warship blimps. You can view a gameplay trailer for the game below.
- Faster Performance: The game's visuals have been simplified to improve the performance of the game across all desktops. This also improves game play as it's easier to detect what types of balloons are coming along the track amoungst all the clutter when you get to the later levels.
